spmk700 is a joint worldwide research and growth project to reveal the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion energy. The demonstration facility is underneath development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor on the planet.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps will be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps might be designed, constructed and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
“We are elated that two of our companies can supply merchandise that will contribute to this bold challenge,” said Mike Turmelle, managing director of Avingtrans’ Engineered Pumps and Motors Division. “We’re dedicated and proud to contribute to the advanced nuclear business.” These contracts comply with previous awards that ITER has made to Avingtrans’ Engineered Pumps and Motors Division.
