Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to assist the ITER challenge in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will provide sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint worldwide analysis and growth project to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is beneath building in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps might be an integral a part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps shall be designed, constructed and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are each a part of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
