The 30 deepwell gasoline pumps shall be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
This is certainly one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders to date. It is also the second LNG gasoline pump techniques order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has positioned with Svanehøj within the last 12 months. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to provide deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled sales of its patented deepwell gas pumps in 2021, and says there are numerous indications that sales could increase even further in 2022.
“Until a few years ago, the use of LNG as a marine fuel was restricted to LNG carriers and smaller ships. But we at the moment are seeing a sharp improve in fuel pump orders for deep sea vessels corresponding to container ships and automotive carriers,” stated Johnny Houmann, chief gross sales officer at Svanehøj. “We were chosen as the supplier of gas pump techniques for over 50% of the dual-fuel LNG container vessels ordered globally in 2020–21. And we purpose to increase our market share additional within the coming years.”
